Many people are aware of the value of taking Omega 3, 6 and 9 supplements in their diet in order to help them maintain a healthier cholesterol level and to increase their immunity, but how many realize that an added bonus of taking these Omega supplements is with regard to their skin?  They help with the oil balance and so create a radiant, healthy looking skin.

Although the body can create Omega 6, it cannot reproduce Omega 3 or Omega 9 and so it’s essential that the body obtains these nutrients from a different source.  There are of course dietary supplements that you can obtain from any good health food store, but there are also things that you can do with your normal diet that will help to introduce these to your system.

Nuts are a great source of both Omega 6 and Omega 9.  Whether your preference is for almond, pecan or walnut, eating these is a nutritional daily snack.  If you aren’t into nuts, then try a regular serving of salmon, trout or even sardines to your diet.  These cold water fish are also a good source of Omegas 6 and 9.

Skincare doesn’t always come out of a bottle from the beauty aisle in the supermarket, or off the shelf in the health food store – often good skincare comes from the same place as for other body maintenance issues, in good diet choices.
