Just because you are a little bit overweight does not make you a bad person. You shouldn’t feel bad about yourself. No matter what your weight is, you are a lovable person and deserving of respect. So, exactly how can you keep your self-esteem while you are trying to lose weight?
1. Read inspirational books about weight loss and how other people accomplished it. Know that you are on your way to looking and feeling better.
2. Love who you are regardless of your weight. Look in the mirror each day and say something positive about yourself.
3. Spend time with cheerful, uplifting people as often as you can. Stay away from people who are judgmental or have conditions.
4. Visualize yourself being thinner and how it will feel when you are at the desired weight you are reaching for.
Following these simple little tips can help you keep your self-esteem and be happy with yourself while you are trying to lose weight.
