Natural Anti-Aging Skin Care Tips

People are fighting with aging skin all the time. It is an inevitable issue that cannot be stopped, however, it can be slowed down a bit. Many people who are starting to notice lines and wrinkles turn to anti-aging creams and lotions they find on the shelves of their local market. The problem with this is that there are so many options out there, who can really tell which is best for their individual skin type?

Natural anti-aging treatments are best for this situation. They do not contain harsh chemicals that some of these creams and lotions have and they are great for any skin type.

The first natural treatment is believe it or not, sleep. When a person is in a deep sleep, the body produces melatonin which has been said to have an anti-aging affect. The body also produces other hormones which help to restore damaged tissue. Sleep also reduces stress which is another culprit of premature aging.

A proper diet is also essential to slow down the aging process. It is important to choose nutritious foods loaded with anti-oxidants such as fruits and vegetables, teas and berries. Be sure to drink plenty of water to flush out harmful toxins and keep your skin hydrated.

Avoid the bad habits such as drinking, smoking and long exposure to direct sunlight. If you must go out in the sun, be sure to wear a good sunscreen with a minimum of a 15 SPF to protect your skin from the UVA and UVB rays.

If you must use creams and lotions, choose the ones that have anti-oxidants which neutralize free radicals. Free radicals damage skin. Find creams which have ingredients such as soy protein, Vitamin C, Vitamin A (Retinol), CoEnzyme Q10 and Hydroxy acids which help with lines and wrinkles and improve the look of your skin.

Aging is going to happen no matter what you do. You can slow the process down with a little clever thinking and adding natural treatments to your daily skin care regimen.
